What is Moxy?
SIMPLY PUT: PLAY & EARN IS THE FUTURE OF THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY
In 2021, Play 2 Earn is the single reason for the success of a number of titles such as Axie Infinity, Gods Unchained, Thetan Arena, and many more. These games can be described as “blockchain first” and “experience second,” yet they are still widely successful.
Well, Moxy is introducing a new standard: Play & Earn.
This allows gamers to simply play their favorite game and earn rewards ($MOX) in the background through Proof of Play and Play & Earn events. Proof of Play rewards engagement and loyalty to the ecosytem, while Play & Earn rewards the skill and success within the game itself and Moxy combines all that in a single ecosystem.
To power this revolution, Moxy Forge allows game developers, studios, and publishers to add Play & Earn and Proof of Play to their existing or future titles, and yes, that includes your favorite studio and the game you love playing the most. Why is this so important? Because the goal here is to put the gamers first and allow them to play the games they love and enjoy while also giving something in return.
Who is the team behind the project?
I can just go ahead and say that the team consits of fully doxed legends and all-stars of the video game and entertainment industry. This means the best minds in the world are working for the Moxy token holders by building a portfolio of world-class projects.

He was an “executive publisher” who ran the development of multiple titles for Atari, Konami, Taito, Sega, THQ, and many others.

In addition to that, the team running the community is amazing and whenever you pop in, whether it’s in the Telegram group or in the Discord channel, your questions will be answered in seconds. It is not often that you see the CEO of aproject as big as this, active in the chat, throwing up GIFs and answering your questions, but that is how you build a strong community.
Aside from Matt, you will most often talk to Nolan (who is actually the Director of Marketing) and to community legends Fogel and Jonny, who are to blame for such an awesome environment in the chat.
How will Play & Earn work?
It’s as simple as it gets, all you would need to do is enable Play & Earn through SSO which will then give you the opportunity to participate in events that give out rewards in $MOX, and of course, you will need some skill along the way, because this is not a pay to win system.

What is Proof of Play?
Proof of Play is one of the major innovations Moxy is bringing to this space and it will reward engagement, loyalty, and contribution to the Moxy ecosystem.
It is powered by a proprietary algorithm that aggregates a user’s engagement and interaction with the various parts of the Moxy Ecosystem. This is accomplished by an extensive Smart Contract on the Flow blockchain.
There is a complete set of sub-tokenomics for the Proof-of-Play feature with $PLAY and $SCORE tokens, and we will go over those at a later stage, but in short, this system rewards the most active/social users.
Why Flow?
Moxy is built on the Flow blockchain which rose to popularity when NBA Top Shot started blowing up and made everyone realize that great projects can indeed be built on it. NBA Top Shot was my first ever crypto investment, too bad they stopped caring about the community and just overFLOWed (pun intended) the market by NFTs that now have almost no value, but we’re here to talk about Moxy so let’s get back to that.
In short, it seems like Moxy and Flow are a match made in heaven, and as Matt (CEO) mentioned in the recent AMA with Polygon Studios:
Minting an NFT on the Flow blockchain consumes as much energy as one google search
Pretty amazing right? Well, that matches with Polygon’s incredible speed and energy-saving because minting an NFT there uses as much energy as sending two emails, and yes Polygon Studios is one of the official Moxy partners, among many others.
Wen Token?
The token generation event (TGE) is planned for the end of April will be another great example showing that Moxy isn’t a VC pump and dump project, but a very serious one that wants to involve the community as much as possible by offering the $MOX token in the seed round for $0.03 and in the public IDO for $0.06.
Usually, you would see a token being sold in the seed round for $0.025 and then offered to the public for $0.45, which is always a great opportunity for the VCs to dump their tokens on us while taking juicy profits. As you can see, that is not the case with Moxy.
One of the key features of the $MOX token will be governance, where the community will be able to decide which game gets funded from the launchpad. Yes, Moxy will have a launchpad feature so gaming studios will be able to share their creations and receive funding.

Why am I so bullish on Moxy?
I’ve been playing video games since I was a 6y kid that was jumping whenever Super Mario jumped because I thought that will make him jump higher, so the signs were clear that I would be spending thousands of hours either trying to get a 20 killstreak in Call Of Duty or fighting the same boss in Dark Souls for the 134th time.
Why does that story matter? Well, because when I look at this project from a gamer’s perspective, I finally see something that might narrow the gap between the world of video games and crypto.
Gamers usually stay away from crypto gaming projects because they don’t really enjoy playing the games from the P2E space (no offense to those games, but it’s just the current state of things) as it doesn’t give them the thrill and enjoyment, but Moxy can be that bridge because it allows you to play the games you already love.
Aside from that, I can’t ignore the fact that the team hasn’t spent a single advertising dollar and has still generated over 30k organic sign-ups on the website, and 10k members in Discord, so we can all imagine what will happen once the marketing department turns it up a notch.

This team is here to break the boundaries and create a revolution not only in the world of crypto, and gaming, but in the world of entertainment as a whole and it seems to me that they definitely have the moxy to do it.
